Dynamic Light Scattering Lasers
Dynamic light scattering is a method for determining the size of particles suspended in a solution. This process utilizes the inherent Brownian motion of particles in solution, by looking at the temporal variations in laser light scattered off of these particles. By analyzing the autocorrelation of the scattered light, you can then intern determine the particle size and distribution suspended in the solution. Dynamic light scattering lasers must then have a high quality TEM00 beam profile. Otherwise, the speckle pattern of the multi-mode beam will interfere with the measurement of the scattered light. The actual wavelength of the laser is not highly critical for these applications, but it is essential that the laser’s linewidth be sufficiently narrow and stable to produce a repeatable interference pattern. On this page, you will find a list of all of the dynamic light scattering lasers we offer including both diode and diode-pumped solid-state lasers.
